Clear aligner treatment, such as Invisalign, straightens teeth using a series of clear, removable trays instead of traditional metal braces. Each aligner is custom-made to fit snugly over your teeth and gently shifts them into position a little at a time. You move through the series, wearing each set for about two weeks before advancing to the next.
Because the aligners are nearly invisible, most people won't notice you're wearing them — a popular benefit for adults and teens alike. They're also removable, so you can take them out to eat, brush, and floss normally, which makes day-to-day care simple.
Clear aligners can correct many common concerns, including crowding, gaps, and bite issues, though more complex cases may still call for braces. Treatment length varies from person to person.
Please note: Dr. Herman's office does not provide Invisalign or clear-aligner treatment in-house. If it's something you're considering, we're glad to help — referrals to a clear-aligner provider are available upon request. Just ask at your next visit or contact the office.
